About Me, Manorama Singh

My Very First Blog Entry
The reason behind the title of my blog is that this is my very first time creating a blog. Indeed, I am an extrovert who takes every opportunity to express myself. This is however my first attempt in doing so through an electronic platform. In this modern tech-savvy age, it is through blogs and e portfolios that people can be easily recognized. Hence, the aim of having this e portfolio of mine is so that I am able to put forth a snippet of my identity in the world of internet. This e portfolio would allow me to showcase myself and it could lead to great opportunities if viewed by the right people.

Hence, with that I shall start off with my very first page on, myself!

A Little about Myself
I am Manorama Singh, an 18 year old Singaporean who lives an hour and half away from her school. After receiving my secondary education in CHIJ St. Joseph’s Convent; I decided on pursuing my diploma in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Despite residing in Seng Kang, I made the tough choice of travelling each day to Ngee Ann Polytechnic due to its reputable School of Business & Accountancy. I am currently in second year of my course, Business Studies.
With only one more year left in poly, it is high time that I plan my future educational as well as career plans.

Educational Objectives:
I wish to enhance my academic as well as personal development by furthering my education in a university. Often students are left with the major decision to decide on whether they wish to study in a local or overseas university. As for myself, I have decided not to make a rigid education path by narrowing down my choice of university as yet. I have kept both of the option open and have pondered on both.

If I enter a local university, I would probably wish to go to Singapore Management University as right now, they have produced the most sought after graduates by business firms. I have also considered the prospects of studying in an overseas university as it would be a different experience studying away from my homeland and be able to gain exposure.
